Waist Circumference – What does it mean?

Waist Circumference Measurement

  • A waist measurement which is too high indicated internal fat deposits
  • Fat deposits can coat the heart, kidneys, liver and pancreas & increase the risk of chronic disease
  • For men, a waist measurement should be less than 94cm
  • For women, a waist measurement should be less than 80cm
  • Waist circumference should only be used for adults to check the risk of developing a chronic disease
